Kim Gates
Kim Gates is a highly decorated player with a great amount of experience in coaching all levels, from beginners to WTA ranked professional players. Kim began her career at seven, and before long was the #1 player in the nation in the Girl's 14s and 16s. She was chosen to be a member of the USTA National Team and the World Cup USA Team, where she competed in the US Open Jrs, Italian Jrs, and many other international tournaments. Kim played singles and doubles at both University of Texas and University of Tennessee. Both teams were ranked in the top three in the nation, and Kim earned All Big 12 and All SEC honors in singles at each school. In 2002 she reached the Final Four of the NCAA's Team tournament. After her successful collegiate career, Kim played some professional satellite tournaments before she turned her sights to coaching. She enjoys drawing from her own experiences and helping every player reach his or her highest potential.
